Start of illuminating light pulses
The emitter sends light pulses towards observed objects

Pulses are reflected
Emitted light pulses are reflected by illuminated objects and returned to the receiver of the device equipped with a high-speed shutter

The shutter misses the reflected light pulses
The shutter of receiver is opened with the controlled time delay. The shutter misses the pulses reflected by illuminated objects, placed at the distance corresponding to mentioned delay

The image of objects is formed
The received light pulses amplified and processed create the image of the illuminated objects. Background illumination of observed space also penetrates into receiver
